Things I have Learned
Rob started working out of state in September. Since then I have learned many things about myself! The first thing I have learned is that if something needs to be done I have to figure out how to do it myself or find someone who can do it for me! I can with the help of Hannah get 6 girls completely ready for church and be on time to choir practice! I know how to pull up carpet and the tack strip that held it down. I am able to change out door knobs. I know how to take a sink apart to find a clog. I can put things together and figure out why something didn't work! I have painted every room in the house but the kitchen, and caulked the bath tub.
I have also learned is that I can do things on my own!! This doesn't mean I want to be on my own because I MISS my husband and am counting down the days when he comes home and I can relinquish his duties back to him!! I never dreamed I could do some of these things and I think I have impressed my husband too! I have also learned that I should NEVER take my husband for granted!! He does a lot so that I can be home with our girls. He is a wonderful husband and provider. He makes it very easy to submit to him too! He is the love of my life, and I can't imagine myself without him!
The most important thing I have learned is to depend wholly on God! When I am afraid at night and having a hard time sleeping I know I can't call my husband because he needs to sleep so he can work. I n those time I know I can call on the One who does not sleep! My God never slumbers so I know He hears me when I call out to Him! Yes, I have always known these things, but you never truly realize some things until that is all you have! Jesus is ALL I need when the anxiety comes and I must continue to trust His ways!

Potty Training #6
I have many emotions when it comes to this! First emotion is excitement to be out of diapers after 11 years!! Second emotion is sadness that my baby is growing up! Third emotion is being proud because Princess decided to start going potty on her own so on Sunday we went to Kmart to get Pull-ups and a potty chair! She picked out the one that flushes and plays music. We are on our third day and she has done surprisingly well for not being 2 yet! May 23 we will be celebrating her 2nd birthday.

Weight LOSS Secrets;-)
I had someone ask me what my weight loss secret is. I am not an expert when it comes to dieting but I am going to share what I have been doing since it has helped me to lose 34 pounds total, 16 since getting back at it in January.
I was always SKINNY growing up. When I got married to Rob I was 120. This first year we were married I gained 60 pounds, and have been unhappy with my looks since then. When people meet me and find out I have 6 kids they usually say you look good for someone that has had 6 children. Inwardly, I cringe and outwardly I say thank you. I KNOW my weight problem is not from pregnancy because I was ALREADY fat when I got pregnant! After I had Cilla I weighed 204. That was almost 2 years ago. I have not been totally faithful to my weight loss journey due to a pregnancy that ended in a miscarriage at 10 weeks.
I Corinthians 6:19-20 What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
The verses above have always convicted me about my weight. My body belongs to God, and I am not glorifying Him being over weight. These verses were part of my turning point. A group of ladies at church started a dieting journal and I joined them this was before my last 3 kiddos! I got down to 168 and then I got pregnant again so I guess you could say my current weight is from not getting back in control after the last 3 babies! Up until now I have been the yo-yo lose 10 pounds gain 5 back and lose 10 pounds gain 7 back and so on! When Rob left in January to work out of state I told him I was DETERMINED to lose this weight. I lost 7 lbs in Jan!
Here is what I am doing to lose the weight. I use www.myfitnesspal.com to count my calories. It is a FREE dieting website and they have a mobile app too!! No excuse not to log and KNOW how many calories are in what you are ordering when you are out! I also started using the Wii Zumba game and I LOVE it!! At the end of January I was introduced to Body by Vi. http://corkeylynn.bodybyvi.com/challenge I have lost 9 lbs since Feb 2 when I started the challenge! I also WEIGH my foods to make sure they are accurately inputted. The month of March was a struggle due to pain from endometriosis and I had surgery on March 20. Monday I was able to get back to exercising with the treadmill I was given! I mostly drink water with a reg Pepsi every once in a while. On Sunday I allow myself up to 1700 calories because the girls and I eat out. I set goals for myself at the beginning of each month. My goal for April is:: Now that I am no longer in pain I am going to get back to exercising. I have to wait for Zumba after my follow up appt, but I have my treadmill that I will be using. My goal is to get up to an hour by the end of April. My weight loss goal is 5 pounds. This will put me well into the 160's and closer to my goal weight. I also want to add walking at the loop at Ft. Harrison state park!
Here is an example of my food log: This was yesterday's log, and pretty much my daily log! I do try to get to 1200 calories each day. If you join My Fitness Pal look me up and add me as your buddy. My user name is corkeylynn!!
