Toughts

Why is it when I make a statement I am close minded and judgmental? Why is it when I stand on what my Bible says I am wrong? Why is it when I stand on my beliefs I am wrong? Why is it when I think differently than main stream America I am judged?

I am amazed that by posting an article that I received about the Girl Scouts the things that have been said to me. I NEVER once said that this happened in the troop that we were involved in. If you read my comments on Facebook I stated SEVERAL times that I am thankful my girls were NOT exposed to the things the article states. However, I CANNOT support something that on a National level supports things that I do NOT agree with. Planned Parenthood is a SCARY institution. I have the right to believe what I believe. It amazes me that people feel like I am judging when I stand on what God's Word says. I stand on God's Words and Principles! I have NEVER dogged someone out for how they believe. I know people from ALL walks of life. It is not my my business to constantly "preach" at them, and they will tell you I do not do that. BUT, if they EVER come to me and ASK me I will ALWAYS point them to God's Word and what it says! God was not sent Jesus for ALL. Just look at the things that happened before judgment came. When He was ready to judge Ninevah, He sent Jonah to WARN the people of God's judgment if they did NOT repent. When Abraham asked God to spare Sodom and Gomorrah, God said he would spare it for 10 RIGHTEOUS people. God did not find that so He destroyed that city. When David sinned with Bathsheba God sent the prophet Nathan, and David repented! John 3:16 says For God so LOVED the world that He GAVE His ONLY begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believeth in Him should NOT perish but have EVERLASTING life! WHOSOEVER: thieves, liars, fornicators, murderers, child molesters, gays, lesbians, cheaters, adulterers, and the list goes on. I do not have to judge God's Word does that. My responsibility is to spread the Gospel. Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. This is the job that Christ left for me to do. I love each and everyone of my friends. I may not agree with the life they have chosen to live but that is the CHOICE they made. It is not my job to berate them and belittle them, but it is my job to be an example of Christ. For I am NOT ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to EVERY one that believeth: to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16) I will NOT be ashamed for what I believe. It is NOT my place to judge others for God told us in Romans 14:11-12 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, EVERY knee SHALL bow to Me, AND EVERY tongue shall confess to God. SO THEN EVERY ONE OF US SHALL GIVE ACCOUNT OF HIMSELF TO GOD. I do not have to judge because one day God will. What you choose to do with YOUR life is your choice and YOU will stand before God and give an account for it. I will NOT stand before God for your choices, but for my own. Call me RADICAL, CLOSE MINDED, or whatever else comes to mind, but know I love each of you as God tells me to. Know this though, I will not picket against military funerals, or other causes but I will RAISE God's Word and STAND on what He says! You do not have to like me or what I believe, but remember Romans 1:12.

I close with these passages. Deuteronomy 6:4-9 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

Rob and I claimed Joshua 24:15 (And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Ammorites, in whose land ye dwell: BUT AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD) when we got married and we have tried to live our lives to this verse. We do not claim to be perfect because the Lord knows I fail Him. My goal is to walk as close to God as I can. Just as Joshua says you get to choose. What you choose to do is between you and Almighty God.

Tuesday

Today has been a fairly "normal" day for us. We were up at 8 to begin our day. I made pancakes for breakfast and then we started our routine. Hannah played piano for about 45 minutes. We ran some errands, and then back home to get our school work done. I am in the process of changing curriculum so Elizabeth finished taking her diagnostic test while Hannah worked on her Math test.

The time is now 2:30 and school is done for the day. No major meltdowns or fights today! YIPPEEEE!!! I am ready for a NAP! All day long it has felt like Wednesday or Thursday and I kept having to remind myself it is ONLY Tuesday! The house looks better today than it did yesterday, but not exactly how I want it. My goal is to have it done before I watch Biggest Loser tonight.

Tomorrow we have NOTHING on the agenda except Rob's turn for church. I may just relax ALL day!

Monday, Monday, Monday

Monday, Monday, Monday!!!!! Our normal Monday is a morning of cleaning and studying for AWANA after lunch. With having church on Sunday and AWANA on Monday nights we do not do school. This really works well for us. With today being President's Day there is NO AWANA. We did manage to get some cleaning done, but we have relaxed some of the day. With a family of all girls life can be interesting and CRAZY!! You will find what I mean in the next few paragraphs.

Today has DEFINITELY been Monday! My day started with a child deciding that smacking and kicking her sister was good behavior. After an hour and a half in her room and some talking and discipline she finally realized that it was not her sister's fault for her trouble. Wrong choices were the reason she was alone! Before she was able to move on with her day I required her to apologize to me and the sister she was mean to. A little bit later I got a message regarding another daughter and her friend. I am NOT a mother that takes these things lightly. I am trying to train my girls to be kind to everyone! After taking care of that issue and pointing out where she was wrong it was time to make some lunch!

Today's lunch was baked beans with hot dogs. During lunch all 5 were fussing and arguing with each other. After lunch all of them had to go to their beds! Imagine my frustration when even after sending to bed that the arguing CONTINUED! I love my girls deeply but there are days that I just want to HIDE! The 2 younger ones are the only 2 to share a bed, and they were SCREAMING at each other. The oldest saved the day by asking the 4 yr old to go in her room! During the hour of rest I managed to watch Cupcake Wars and enjoy some cuddle time with the baby! My niece lied down on the couch and fell asleep even though the chaos was going on.

Everything is calm right now and I am enjoying the together time that we are having watching Worst Cooks in America! All of the housework is not complete, but some days making sure my girls are orderly is more important than a clean house. We are getting ready to start the Christian Charm Course and I can't wait to see how it helps my girls to behave more like ladies. I am excited about learning with them because if we are all honest with ourselves we will admit we NEED it too!

Every day is new and I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings! School day tomorrow and a new blog post! Hopefully it will be full of GLOWING reports on how well they got along and worked together. Cleaning needs to be done still so I am going to corral my girls and get them busy again! Daddy will be home soon :-)

Below you will see pictures of our completed bedrooms! Friday night Rob and I got Elizabeth's bunk bed exchanged and put together! I love the difference in my kids' tastes and am thankful that I have a husband who doesn't mind them expressing their style! I threw a pic of my new bedding in too!

Valentine's Day

I love to have parties!! Yesterday we had a party with the other families that Home School in out church. It was an Italian lunch with LOTS of desserts!! I am so thankful for all of the other Moms that helped make our party a success!

Last night Rob and I sat together and watched Biggest Loser. I know how romantic! LOL, it was nice sitting together without kids in the room! When you have been married as long as we have you don't need flowers and candy!! Just a little bit of quality time is great for me! Please enjoy the pictures below!

One last note: MAKE SURE YOU READ THE ENTIRE CARD BEFORE PURCHASING IT!! I found the perfect card for my husband, but neglected to read the final message on the last part. Imagine my HORROR when I read it entirely yesterday to find a swear word!! I took my pen and crossed it out, but I was so stinking embarrassed!! Thankfully my husband knows me well!!!
