PRINCESS P

As I sit in the little room they got me in the NICU wing, I have mixed emotions on how things are going. Yesterday it looked like we were going to get to go home today, but at 3am Priscilla stopped breathing long enough to cause us to have to stay where we are for a minimum of 5 days. In the next 5 days she is to be incident free to go home. Last night I was a TOTAL mess, and thankfully Rob's sister Kristie was able to keep the girls long enough for him to come up here and help me process. This was before the 3am episode!

Now  trying to get a game plan for the next 4 days so that Rob can be at work and I can be here to feed my little Princess:)  She is a chow hound and that is VERY encouraging! I am thankful that all of the other issues have resolved themselves. Please pray for me and my emotions as they are everywhere, pray that we can hold everything together this week and most of all pray that Princess P cooperates so we can go home!

I will load more pictures tonight so you can see:)

Priscilla Anne (Princess P)

I am thankful for the safe arrival of my Priscilla Anne! Born Monday, May 23, 2011, at 4:10pm. She weighed in at 6lbs 2oz and 19.5 inches! She is small but mighty, and has earned the nickname Princess P! She is a my little Sweet P:) We had prayed that God would allow her to not have to spend time in the NICU, but we always know the possibility is great with how quickly I tend to deliver!! God has allowed us another trip to the NICU, but she is EXTREMELY healthy in spite of the trip! She was delivered so quickly that she didn't get the squeeze she needed to push the fluid out of her lungs. What is amazing to me is how GOD has given me his PERFECT PEACE through all of this. Is 26:3~ Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: BECAUSE he trusteth in thee. The very first nurse Princess P received was MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE nurse in the NICU! Brenda is an AWESOME nurse, and never sugar coats anything no matter how grim. The first thing she said to me was NOW I KNOW WHO you are! (she had Emily and Julia) The next words she spoke were very encouraging. Priscilla has NOTHING else that she is fighting, AND she knows she will bounce back quickly! Brenda was right! I got to hold her yesterday when I went to check on her, and then I got to hold her and soothe last night before I went to bed. She responded so well, and we are hoping that she turned a major corner last night.

I am especially thankful for my Mother-in-Law, who has taken wonderful care of my girls while we have been up here at the hospital! I have missed my girls BUT have not worried about them one time:)

Dollar Tree, Taco Bell and Deals!!

Today I am thankful for these three places! Yesterday was a very crazy busy day. I had to get Hannah and Elizabeth everything they needed for GS camp. Went to the doctor and was told I can go at any time! After picking the girls up from Rob's mom, the shopping began. I never take everyone with me, but Rob worked until 1 in the morning yesterday so SUPER MOM had to do it! I have been having contractions since being at the doc yesterday so you can imagine how I felt! After spending $12 at Dollar Tree I had almost all that I needed. I knew my time was fleeting in how I felt but we went to Meijer anyway! WRONG move!! I walked around in a FOG for like 20 minutes (good thing I remembered diapers) and checked out with only the diapers. I even tried to think of something for dinner. In the end we wound up with Taco Bell!

This morning after little sleep and still having contractions we made our way to Deals for the FINAL 3 items on the list! I am thankful to report that they had EVERYTHING, EVEN my choc chip muffins I need to make for them to take! So THANK YOU Deals and Dollar Tree!!! You saved me from having to darken the doors of Walmart!

Blessed by Aunt Rhonda

The girls and I received a big blessing today. My Aunt Rhonda brought the girls and I breakfast and lunch! The table was decorated with Princess cups, plates, and tablecloth! What a wonderful way to start the day!! I am so thankful for the family and friends that God has given me! I would have never made it through bed rest without them! So many people have made meals, and I know they prayed for me! I am so thankful for all of them! My house is already whipping back into shape, and will be clean for Priscilla's arrival!

FINALLY!!

I must tell you that it feels so great being off of bed rest! My kitchen is ALMOST back to normal!! It has taken me ALL day to get things accomplished because I do not want to over do it my first day off of bed rest. Funny thing happened this morning though. I went to do dishes this morning to find that I had ABSOLUTELY no dish soap!!! Thankfully we were blessed with a second vehicle a couple of weeks ago so off to Deals I went! Now after many breaks my dishes are done! I am so happy with what I have accomplished so far today. Tomorrow I move to the living room!

Yesterday I got the final selections done for what I wanted to take to the hospital!! Bags were put in the truck this morning. Only things I need to grab are the things that I use every day! I am so thankful that bed rest worked and I never had to be on medicine with it! God has been so good to me through this. Meals were provided while I was off, and I was able to go to church on Mother's Day morning. I am looking forward to going this Sunday morning.

Baby Shower

Today was such a great day! My friends gave me a shower, and it was wonderful! I am now more prepared for Priscilla:) I got to reminisce with friends from grade school, and family that I don't see often enough! My Mother-in-Law made the CUTEST booties and I can't wait to put them on Priscilla! I also got a black onesie that had pearls on it and said "This is my LITTLE Black Dress!" How cute is that!! I am thankful for the people God has place back into my life. It is unreal that God brought my grade school friends back into my life! Shannon, Heather, Crystal, and Holly are some of the greatest friends around! God also brought Anita and Dawn back into my life! Sometimes we drift away, but the great thing is we can become close again. It is amazing how even after years and years pass the closeness is STILL there!

Mother's Day

I was so excited to get to go to church yesterday! I did not make it sitting in the pew the whole time, but it was nice to be there.
Every year they see what mother has the most children at church with them. When Pastor got to six I sat down. After church Rob was talking to him and he told Rob that I got flowers because I have 6 children with me! Rob actually tried to argue the fact that Priscilla is not born yet.... As any of you who know Pastor, Rob did NOT win that argument LOL!!

My Flowers from the Church

After Church we spent the day at Rob's mom's house. I had a very relaxing afternoon because she told me to SIT as soon as I walked in the door~ The girls and I stayed there while Rob went back to church and they got to help Grandpa spread the dirt in his garden! YES, they did ALL have their church dresses on, but hey it all comes out in the wash!

I think the kids loved this! Thanks Grandpa Huttlemayer for letting them in on the action!!
